Dr. Ofir Hakim
Scientific Due Diligence & R&D Advisory
My career has moved from food engineering to plant biology to cancer and immunology research to industrial R&D leadership. Each move meant learning a new biological system fast, and getting it right the first time.
I trained at the U.S. National Institutes of Health for six years in cancer biology and immunology, then spent 11 years as an independent Principal Investigator at Bar-Ilan University, running multi-omics research programs that treated experimental design and computational analysis as one integrated workflow. I mentored 16 graduate students to completion, including computational genomics students, and secured $2M+ in competitive research grants.
Since 2024, I've applied that same discipline to industry, leading biological R&D for an agri-foodtech company's sterile cultivation platform, including directing the development of an AI/ML-powered biological sensor, and supporting protein R&D at a food-tech company, before starting my own practice in 2026.
That range, academic depth, quantitative and computational rigor, and industrial execution, is what closes the gap between what the biology proves and what it takes to make it work, for investors evaluating a deal and R&D teams building one.
